LOVE CHECK!!!

So it seems to me that the word love is getting a seriously bad rap! I can love my food. I can love my cat. I can love that color and I can even love that movie. We throw the word love around so much have we truly forgotten what love is?  Love is patient, love is kind, love doesn’t hurt, love is understanding and love forgives. So many of us throw the word love around like it’s a bouncy ball. We use it as filler in conversation. But to really break down the ultimate love, there is non that loves us greater than God who gave his son Jesus Christ to die for us. He laid down his life for our sins. Mine, yours, and even those who don’t believe (yet).

So often we hear about how we hate her/him. We hate what they do or what they think not realizing we are fueling satan’s  plan with all of this discord.  Only satan takes pleasure in peoples pain and destruction. You ever wonder why so many thing s go wrong at one time? Because satan knows that not just that one thing going wrong is going to knock you out of the battle, so he has to throw multiple things in your path. And yet as Christians and aspiring Christians we should be aware that satans job is to steal kill and destroy and if he were not on his job we would never become true believers. We are forced by satans hate and evil plan to spend more time with God. To pray like we have never prayed before. To anoint our homes, our jobs, our children, our vehicles and our churches you see satan, God has a plan too and he has reminded us that in our weakness He is the strongest and that only what we do for him will last.
So how dare I say I hate someone and I love God. The bible tells me that to love God I must love all of his creations. He reminds us of how can we say that we hate some one we see often and we love Him whom we have never seen.  Time to do a love check. Are we loving God for the right reasons or are we just going through the motions? From this day forward I love everybody.

Just a lil' WORD to get us started!

For so many years God had placed a calling on my heart and a sense of unfinished business in my heart. Have you ever felt like you were living your life the best you knew how with what you had?  God has come to remind us that his Son Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly.  We have spent to much time looking at what everyone else has, the new Mercedes, that 5 bed room house overlooking the ocean, and the perfect kids who bring home 4.0's at every grading period. What we forget is that we don't know how they got those things, and usually when the grass looks greener on the other side it's not grass it's actually artificial turf. Unlike real grass it doesn't need real nourishment, watering and fertilizing. No labor of love really goes into it.But when it comes to our drive to have things of this world remember the Benz needs an astronomical amount of maintenance, when it comes to that house is it clear of ungodly spirits? and that child that seems to be perfect, what are his/her own personal demons that he/she has to contend with? And will perfection be the death of them?

But when you take your eyes and your mind off of the things of this world we are left with a love that is pure as gold and white as snow. The love of Jesus. With Him all things are possible, if it is our Father's will we will have the desires of our hearts and more. But one question remains...What have you done for God lately?
