For so many years God had placed a calling on my heart and a sense of unfinished business in my heart. Have you ever felt like you were living your life the best you knew how with what you had? God has come to remind us that his Son Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. We have spent to much time looking at what everyone else has, the new Mercedes, that 5 bed room house overlooking the ocean, and the perfect kids who bring home 4.0's at every grading period. What we forget is that we don't know how they got those things, and usually when the grass looks greener on the other side it's not grass it's actually artificial turf. Unlike real grass it doesn't need real nourishment, watering and fertilizing. No labor of love really goes into it.But when it comes to our drive to have things of this world remember the Benz needs an astronomical amount of maintenance, when it comes to that house is it clear of ungodly spirits? and that child that seems to be perfect, what are his/her own personal demons that he/she has to contend with? And will perfection be the death of them?
But when you take your eyes and your mind off of the things of this world we are left with a love that is pure as gold and white as snow. The love of Jesus. With Him all things are possible, if it is our Father's will we will have the desires of our hearts and more. But one question remains...What have you done for God lately?
